Description:

This project is a renovation to an existing concrete structure office building; adding a stair tower and enclosing a two story elevator shaft with new lobby adjacent.  New air chillers were also installed.

The facility will house lab equipment and crime scene investigators from the Valdosta police and the Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office.

The first floor include an indoor range and water tank for ballistics testing as well as equipment for fingerprint analysis, tire and shoe print analysis, photo, audio and video enhancement and retrieval and cold storage for bodies.

A small portion of both floors will remain unfinished and sealed off, but open for future expansion. The interior work for the labs and offices contains new carpet, paint, laboratory casework and millwork.  Site work consists of resurfacing the parking lot.
